  • product description

Microcrystalline wax has higher flexibility and better water resistance than coarse crystalline wax. The mixture of coarse crystalline wax and microcrystalline wax is often used as waterproof coating. Generally used in rubber, cosmetics, casting, electronics, daily chemical glazing, hot melt adhesive and other industries.

Recommended uses: plastic, shoe material, plastic candle, polishing, cosmetics

Microcrystalline wax, white amorphous amorphous solid wax, mainly C31-70 branched chain saturated hydrocarbons, containing a small amount of cyclic, straight chain hydrocarbons, odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, soluble in benzene, chloroform, ether, etc. It can be miscible with various mineral waxes, vegetable waxes and hot fat oils. The residue after petroleum fractionation is used as raw material and refined. Used for polish, rust prevention, carbon paper, candles, packaging impregnation and fruit coating of paste products; Also used in cosmetics, color pens, shoe polish, a variety of polishing wax and so on.

Microcrystalline wax is a colorless, odorless solid saturated hydrocarbon mixture extracted from crude oil fractionation. It is a synthetic wax refined and refined. The composition of microcrystalline wax determines its characteristics - it can intermelt with various natural waxes.

Due to the different composition of microcrystalline wax, we must strictly check when purchasing raw materials, good raw materials and good technology will produce excellent quality microcrystalline wax.

Microcrystalline wax is a new synthetic wax that appeared in the 1990s. Microcrystalline wax is more widely used, easier to process, and reduces the cost by 50%.

Solubility: insoluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, soluble in benzene, chloroform, ether, etc. It can be miscible with various mineral waxes, vegetable waxes and hot fat oils.

Chemical composition: Mainly C31-70 branch chain saturated hydrocarbons, containing a small amount of cyclic and straight chain hydrocarbons, ash content below 0.05%, its heavy metal lead, arsenic content below 2×10-6. This kind of wax has large viscosity, ductility, is not fragile at low temperature, and has the characteristics of preventing oil separation when mixed with liquid oil. Microcrystalline wax with a melting point of 77-80 ° C has more or less ductility, similar to soft ground wax, and microcrystalline wax with a melting point of 88-90 ° C is hard and looks like lignite wax.

Synthesis method: refining method was used mainly. The residual oil after fractionation was used as raw material to extract the branch chain saturated hydrocarbon fraction above C31 by distillation, and then by deoiling and decolorizing.
